Ac’s politicians are pleased with the announcement made by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday that he will step down in 14 days.

The announcement came after White House pressure eased following an investigation by its state attorney general who found that he had sexually assaulted eleven women. The state assembly has begun the impeachment process, and the Democrat has had little political support.

The entire New Hampshire congressional delegation, including Governor Chris Sununu, called on Cuomo to step aside with the release of the Attorney General’s report.

“Senator Hassan called on him to resign. It’s appropriate for him to do so,” he told Seacoast Current.

“Senator ահahin has made it clear that he believes Cuomo should resign in light of the Attorney General’s allegations of sexual harassment, and he is delighted to have done so,” said Sam Paisley, a spokesman for Sen. ահahin.

Representative Chris Pappas in the announcement has been released on WMUR He said that Kuomo’s resignation came too late for the victims of persecution, abuse and revenge with his documents.

“This should be just the first step towards accountability. I hope the incoming governor can provide sustainable leadership for the people of his state,” Pappas said.

Sununu had a two-word statement for WMUR: “about time.”

The next governor will be Lieutenant Colonel Katie Hochul.

Cuomo said the impeachment trial would be a “diversion” for months when the focus was on COVID-19, the fight against gun violence.

“And I think given the circumstances, the best way I can help right now is if I step aside and let the government get back in power. And, consequently, I will do it because I work for you, I do the right thing, it does the right thing for you, “Cuomo said.
