A Montgomery man accused of killing his newborn son has taken investigators to a shallow grave where authorities say he buried a 5-week-old baby after killing him with a blunt force injury.

Caliph Michael Wisnand Sr., 32, was taken by sheriff investigators to a rural area on Enfinger Road in Lundes County, where he was found dead with a baby, S .., the investigator testified today.

According to that testimony, the child’s mother, Angela Garder, was also with the police. Wisnand ran to him, hugged him and said: “Sorry”:

“He said it was an accident, he hit himself in the head,” said Montgomery County Sheriff’s investigator John on Schaefer in a preliminary hearing before District Judge Tiffany McCord.

Shortly afterwards, Shepherd said: Wisnand “looked at me and asked me to shoot him.”

The investigator said that at that moment he handcuffed Wisnand for security reasons.

Wisnand is charged with capital murder in the murder of CJ

The investigation began on the night of Monday, May 10, when the father called 911 from the K district of Vetumka Highway in Montgomery County to report S. J’s disappearance. Alabama law enforcement early in the morning of May 11 issued a missing child warning about S. J.’s disappearance.

The case is being prosecuted by Montgomery County Deputy Chief of Mission Scott Green and Ben McGowan. Wisnand is represented by attorneys Mickey McDermott և Karen H. Acks Exxon:

During the one-hour hearing, the investigator told the story on May 10, at 10 p.m. On the abduction of SH in 49.

Lawmen responded to Circle that night. Sheffard, one of the many attorneys at the scene, noted that his father’s white Ford Escort has a child seat base but no child seats.

“We saw videos in the K-ring,” Chepperd testified. “We have not seen anyone pick up a child from that place.”

The video showed Wisnand arriving at the store at 10 p.m. On the 28th, about 20 minutes before the abduction was reported.

The father told investigators that he left his home with the child last Saturday night and went to work with a friend on Sunday and later with another friend in his car.

At one point she said she had left the child with a friend. He said another friend’s wife watched the child as he worked on their car.

There was no clear timetable for Whisnand գործող operations on Sunday.

Authorities tracked down his cell phone on Monday, and authorities were able to pinpoint his whereabouts before announcing the boy’s disappearance.

The last time the investigators saw S. live on the video. saw. on Monday at 12 o’clock. 43 in Walmart, Montgomery County.

Wisnand visited many places on Monday, all in the Montgomery area, but one unusual place was the Lundes area.

He did not initially tell investigators that he was in the Lundes area, but when he came across his cell phone data, Wisnand said he was “running for drugs.”

They also had a video of Wisnand withdrawing money from the bank to repay the debt owed to his brother.

In that video, he was wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. In the video that day, after returning from the Lundes area, investigators saw Wisnand pouring gasoline into his car at Shell Station.

The video showed Wisnand dumping Mickey Mouse pacifier, baby socks, and the green shirt his father had seen in an earlier video. At that moment, Shepherd said, his father was wearing a red T-shirt.

“I felt something was wrong,” Chepperd said.

All items were taken out of the bin. Baby seat և CJ diaper bag never found.

Investigators said Wisnand’s memory seemed “conscientious” and his behavior “semi-conscious” was irregular. He was showing signs of drowsiness.

“He kept telling me he was tired,” Chepperd said.

Investigators took Wisnand to another room at the headquarters, allowing him to sleep. Shepherd said he slept for about six hours and woke up better.

Two days after the boy’s disappearance, on Wednesday, May 12, Wisnand և Angela Gardner attended a press conference.

The boy’s father told reporters. “I do not remember much, but I remembered parting with the police. If anyone has something, somewhere that I could go, you know who you are. ”

It was after the press conference that investigators found S. J.’s body, and his father was charged with death. Chepard said investigators asked the parents for a press conference to help them find CJ

After the press conference, when the investigators were interviewing again, Wisnand agreed to transfer them to the CC body.

“He directed investigators to the shallow grave,” Shepherd said.

The investigator said at one point that Wisnand told them that CJ had not responded when he left his brother’s house and that he had tried CPR. When he could not resuscitate her, she took her son’s body to the Lundes district.

When Ch ..’s body was found, Schaeferd said there were no obvious signs of rough play. According to him, there are visible injuries after washing the dirt in the office of the medical examiner.

David Ridzski, a forensic pathologist from the Alabama Department of Forensic Science, testified that there was a complex skull fracture on the right side of S.J.’s head that was 1 to 2 inches long. He said the child had bleeding all over his skull, as well as subdural hemorrhage.

His optic nerves were damaged, his right tibia was broken.

He said the only way S.J. could have died in an accident was if the child had been in a serious car accident, was unrestrained or had “fallen from the fifth floor”. He said death could not have happened “by accident every day”.

“This is an acute injury, the child died (after the injury),” Ridzski testified.

The judge ruled that there was a good reason to send the case to a grand jury to consider the indictment.

He ruled in favor of Wisnand’s attorneys, which prosecutors opposed.

Gardner was not in the courtroom, but Wisnand’s parents were present. They communicated with their son through hand gestures.

Margaret Hope, SJ’s grandmother և Gardner’s mother, told AL.com that the boy’s father took S, while Gardner was asleep on the night of May 8.

“She could not have her son on Mother’s Day or Monday,” Hope said.

“Angela is a wonderful mother, she is very protective of her children. She was so happy when she gave birth. I was there when she gave birth to a baby. I do not believe that SOB killed her child. “

Hope said the father “knew he had killed the baby, he had to make some excuses.”

Caleb Wisnand is being held without bail.
